When looking for the perfect potty, one might feel overwhelmed by the various types of potty seats available. From different ranges including the simple and basic ones to the most exuberant, there is a seat that will match both your child's expectations and your budget.

We start with the basic potty chairs. These are low budget but will often be what he will only need. They are usually made of molded plastic and are intended to be dumped into the toilet. This can be rinsed after use.

Since these are low priced, you can easily purchase more than one potty seat. By having multiple seats, you have them easily accessible in different parts of the house. You can find these to be available in different colors.

There are also the extravagant and high-end potty seat models. Some are comparable to the basic chairs but with your child's favorite cartoon characters. Some have fancier designs. Others have incorporated an extraordinary reward system such those that change colors with successful use.

Alternatively, you can even obtain those that mimic real toilets. These have real flushing sounds and will likely appeal your child.

Of course, the advantage of these models is that they are very interesting and will encourage your children to make the most effort out of the situation. The down side is that these seats are quite expensive.

For kids who are not attracted in having a separate potty, the toilet hole reducer is the solution. Kids are often more at ease with hole reducers as they take away the risk of slipping into the toilet. When combined with a little stool, these can be a cost effective portable toilet training alternative. These are available with padded seats with fancy designs and can be very appealing to their tastes.

You can also come across all-in-one potty chairs. These start out as small potties and can grow with your child. The seats are detachable and can fit onto the usual adult toilet seats. These models have all the advantages of the potty chairs and toilet hole reducers combined but can be relatively costly.

As part of the training process, let your child be involved in the selection of potty chairs. Go with your child shopping and find the perfect seat that will tickle her fancy. She just might be blown away with her choice that she can't wait to use it. With her effort and choice taken into account, your child will likely be very eager about finally having to use her new potty seat.

Again, be very consistent and patient. Very soon, you are well on track to become a parent of a diaper-free child.
